I hope your weekend is off to a great start!

This past week has been a bit slow for me…I returned home safely from Cinque Terre and London.  It was an amazing adventure; however, it’s taken me longer than usual to recover from jet lag.

Pictured above, Manarola, Cinque Terre, Italy photographed during sunset.  This is my favorite image from Cinque Terre, as it is the first time I composed and photographed a panoramic image and experimented using graduated neutral density filters.

Should you desire to see additional photos from my travels, please visit my Instagram account.  Meanwhile, listed below are a few inspiring links from awesome bloggers and websites.

Wishing you a joyous weekend!

Greek Salad | photographer Eva Kosmas Flores

My favorite dishes to cook must comprise depth and layers of  flavor, can be prepared in 45 minutes or less, and utilize easy to source ingredients.  I can’t wait to try the Greek Salad by Eva Kosmas Flores, what a lovely side dish.

Luckily for me, heirloom tomatoes are still abundantly available throughout Los Angeles.

Honestly Yum (my favorite food blog) created a Roast Chicken recipe that features Za’atar, a Middle Eastern spice blend.   Za’atar is comprised of dried herbs, sesame seeds, and sumac.

I’m looking forward to preparing this tantalizing recipe next weekend.  Organic sumac may be purchased from

Good Morning Friends,

How are you doing?  I hope you are delightfully enjoying your summer.   As for me, all is well.

My plans for this weekend are:  chores (which never seem to end), a quick trip to Ikea for inexpensive yet stylish flower vases, and studying Italian in preparation for next month’s trip to England and Italy.

How about you?  What are your plans for the weekend?  Please share as I would love to hear.

This past week on Instagram, I shared a few images from last year’s trip to Venice, Italy.  You’re welcome to take a quick peek.

Chic Glamorous and Splendid Blog | Summer Reading List

I am happy to share a couple of books on my summer reading list.  I’m drawn to these titles as each one promises lush prose, rich descriptive sensory details, vivid storytelling and strong characters.

The Only Street in Paris: Life on the Rue des Martyrs penned by Elaine Sciolino, the former Paris bureau chief for the New York Times.  Sciolino shares her favorite charming Parisian neighborhood filled with lively and vivacious residents.

In The Last Painting of Sarah de Vos by Dominic Smith,  a rare Dutch painting links three lives spanning three centuries through Amsterdam, New York City and Sydney.

An art history student agrees to forge a rare Dutch painting for a questionable art dealer and the consequences of that decision will haunt her, as she finds herself entangled in deceit and redemption.

In The Naked Shore: Of the North Sea, journalist Tom Blass journeys across The North Sea in search of wild true stories that are captivating and compelling while exploring the wild and rugged history of the sea as told by colorful local coast dwellers in obscure communities.

I’m incredibly excited for summer’s arrival.  How about you?  What’s on your reading list?  Please share, as I would love to hear.

Have the loveliest of weekends!  Enjoy and take care.
