A Delightful Package

Today is filled with a delightful surprise package! The lovely Danni from Oh, Hello Friend graciously hosted a gift Package Exchange for Winter 2011. I’d like to share the most wonderful surprise package I received from my swap partner, the talented Alie, from Trudeau Bergen Photography.

First, the wrapping paper took my breath away—I mentioned to Alie, hubby and I will travel to Paris and Provence later this year, and she wrapped the package in a map of Paris gift wrap. How incredibly thoughtful! The package also contained an enchanting Leah Duncan tea towel, which is too pretty to use; a stylish IMO camera strap, and an ITunes gift card. I’m so appreciative and thankful; and I can’t wait to purchase and experiment with photography apps.

Now, I’m off to the gym and later this evening, I’ll edit photos from a weekend photo shoot. Have a good evening!

Happy New Year 2012

Happy New Year!! Today is filled with great enthusiasm for 2012! For me, the new year represents a new beginning, a fresh start, and another opportunity to grow stronger and experience my dreams become reality.

This year, I’ve decided to return to school. For the Spring semester, I’ve enrolled in Introduction to Filmmaking and Video Production for Still Photographers. I’m super excited and a bit nervous! I remind myself to embrace new challenges, that I must press forward beyond my comfort zone, then the queasiness subsides.

In addition, I’ve decided to make a bucket list of sorts—of all things I’d like to accomplish in the next 5 to 8 years. Much of the list is comprised of adventure and journeys to far away lands, and in all likelihood, my list will take a lifetime to complete.
