Today is filled with gardening, loveliness, and afternoon tea. Initially, I planned on going to the Getty Museum to see the Paris: Life and Luxury exhibit, but June gloom and threatening skies thwarted my plans.
My backyard is besieged by blooms! David Austin and heirloom roses, Dahlias, Hibiscus, et al…and yet to come, the Gardenias loom.
After snipping away spent blossoms and weeding, I drove to the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills for afternoon tea. I sipped Meli Melo, a white tea, blended with Italian pears, Persian plums, Valencia oranges, mango, and pineapple; and slathered Devonshire cream on Blueberry-Lime scones.
