Today is filled with champagne and chocolate! Wonderful hubby and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. It was an enchanting evening—we dined at Patina Restaurant in Downtown, Los Angeles.
The dishes were exquisitely prepared and beautifully plated. On the menu:
- Butter-Poached Maine Lobster with Spring Green Vegetables, Jus Acidulé
- Chocolate Moelleux with Dacquoise, Passion Fruit, Hazelnut Sorbet
- Assorted Cheese Plate
For dessert, hubby opted for the seasonal selection of ice cream. One of the featured flavors was olive oil. Initially, I was skeptical…olive oil ice cream? As I can never resist tasting any new flavor, I sampled one mouthful then another. My skepticism was for naught, as the ice cream was remarkably fruity, creamy, and superb.
