After two blustery, rainy, and gray days in Los Angeles, I’m looking forward to warmer weather and spring/summer fashions.  Today, I’m loving Philosophy’s gauzy silk chiffon maxi dress…absolutely perfect for a midsummer’s stroll along a scenic promenade.

A lovely outfit for a casual summer outing!  The silk chiffon tunic is actually a dress (a little too short for my taste), which is why I’ve decided to treat it as a blouse, and pair it with relaxed fitting boyfriend straight leg jeans.

Recently hubby asked me to go shopping with him.  My reply was no, as he never wants to go clothing shopping with me.  His response, “I can find everything I need in one store. Whereas you drag me to every women’s store in the mall.”  Needless to say, his remark was outlandishly exaggerated and mostly untrue.

My challenge for this week’s Friday’s Fancies was to select a wardrobe ensemble from one store.  And, yes, it was challenging.  How do men do it?

Incidentally, I would pair the gossamery silk Montauk Print dress with an ultra light black cashmere stole from Neiman Marcus.  Most perfect for cool summer evenings.

St. Valentine’s Day serves as inspiration for this weeks wardrobe selection.  I would love to celebrate a romantic Valentine’s evening by dining by candlelight in a 5-star restaurant followed by dancing at a salsa club.

I gasped with delight when I discovered the Michael Kors crepe jersey dress in merlot. It drapes beautifully across the body creating a svelte and feminine silhouette. Quite lovely indeed!
